Yelp.com — A Better Way to Research Work Lunch

2

I had been hesitant to give this site a Sheep Shout because I thought everyone was aware, but last week my office was looking for new lunch spot and I suggested we use Yelp.com and my coworkers looked at me with blank stares.

If you’re confused, don’t worry. Here’s the part where I explain the site.

So if you and the coworkers are hungry but are tired of Chipotle, hit up Yelp. It’s real simple. Log on, the field on the left is where you type in what kind of food you want. The field on the right is where you work. The result is the answer to your question.

Paninis near Broken Arrow, OK? You gotta go to Tulsa, but Yelpers say try D'Novo Lean Gourmet.

The beautiful thing about the site? Restaurants and other businesses are rated by other sheep, called Yelpers on the site.

And you can get in on the action. If the restaurant you chose made Susan in the mail room throw up, you can create a profile and let the world know.

And, in case you were wondering, my office used it to find out there was a California Pizza Kitchen near us we didn’t know existed. Hello tortilla soup!

Happy Yelping.
