Woman Charged with Stealing Girl Scout Cookie Money
As we’ve noted here once before, Thin Mint girl scout cookies are the devil. Once you pop, you can’t stop – you’ll likely shell out money for these cookies every year for the rest of your life.
And each year you’d think that your hard earned cash is going to a noble group of young scouts. And in this case, you’d be wrong.
According to authorities, 23 year old Stephanie Morris was caught sticking her hand in the cookie jar.
The state charged Stephanie Morris with felony stealing Thursday in a case in which $3,522 was missing from Girl Scout Troop No. 8705 bank account and cookie money. Morris was the local troop leader.
The best part? Stephanie called the cops to report a burglar who stole $900 of her girl scout troops money. After a thorough investigation, the police uncovered several thousand dollars from cookie sales that had been deposited into her account. Morris ending up confessing, claiming she had been behind on bills.
We can’t verify her financial woes, but we can certainly bet that she’s having a case of the Mondays.
