Top Super Bowl Commercials Worth Talking About

3

So this morning we told you one company we felt wasted $3M on its Super Bowl spot.

Here are a few that we here at TCS thought were great:

Google, who rarely advertises, hit a home run with an ad as simple as the Web site’s design. As one commenter said on the YouTube post: “Simply brilliant.” If someone in your office says they don’t like the Google commercial, we want to know why.

Moving on, a big theme of the night was commercial violence. It started early:

This took top honors for violent commercials. If you can’t laugh at Betty White and Abe Vigoda getting their clocks cleaned, we’re not sure what you can laugh at. And, side note: Vigoda plays “Tessio” in The Godfather. Wasn’t he like 70 in that movie? (Vigoda turns 89 in two weeks).

Another “violent” commercial that we liked:

Cute kids always win.

And, lastly, what would a top commercials list be if we didn’t include CareerBuilder:

Gross? Yes. The Collared Sheep’s wheelhouse? Yes.

We did miss the chimps doing funny stuff in the office, so we brought it to you:

Can they just make more of these?

What were your favorite commercials? Jay Leno-David Letterman? Bud Light house? Bud Light auto-tune? Let us know

The google one was the most well thought, and creative out of the group…snickers was the funniest…and I’m going to eat one now.
