June 6 is forever etched in history as D-Day. A day of heroes. But 26 years ago, it was the day Alexey Pazhitnov created Tetris.

So many car trips consumed with the square, precious L shape and the critical lowercase 4-block l. Armed with my Gameboy, the signs for “South of the Border” didn’t apply to a consumed kid like me. I had Tetris.

But, with time, Tetris faded. There have been many attempts to replace it, but Sunday, the 26-year anniversary (literally), I found a proper replacement (for now).

Enjoy wasting some time at work. I was able to complete all 40 levels on Sunday, good luck with “Bonus Mode.”
