Six Flags “Porky Pig” Employee Punched Multiple Times in Head
Porky Pig can be rather annoying.
The constant stuttering. The obnoxious bow tie. The whole “no pants” thing. Still, these reasons surely can’t be enough to warrant violence. Or can they?
For one poor Porky Pig mascot employee at Six Flags, apparently they can. Here is the recap:
Police said authorities at Six Flags Great America ejected two off-duty employees from the theme park after they allegedly attacked a female colleague dressed as “Porky Pig.”
Gurnee Police Sgt. Jon Ward says two young men took a photo with Porky on Monday afternoon, and then punched the mascot in the head 10 to 15 times.
Two men felt the need to punch Porky somewhere in the ballpark of 10 to 15 times in the head. I guess one punch doesn’t quite say “Screw you, Looney Tunes!” like 15 would.
In terms of injuries, Porky walked away without the need for medical assistance:
The 24-year-old woman inside the costume suffered headaches and a stiff neck, but did not require hospitalization, Ward said.
I’m guessing the padding in Porky’s head did the trick. Walking away without any bruises after 10 to 15 punches is pretty impressive.
It’s important to remember as Porky, that no matter how many kids want to take your picture, there is always one “loony” who wants to wipe that cartoon smile off your face. If this ever happens again, I hope Porky can learn from this experience and use that padded head to her advantage.
