Road Rage Incites Car Chase
This one is for all my fellow car commuters out there.
Is there anything more annoying than the inconsiderate driver (especially on your way home — on a Monday)? A strong argument for “no” can be made.
How many times have you felt like this:
Police said Christopher Mosier … ran a stop sign … He struck a Lincoln Town Car driven by Jack Gentry, 64 … Mosier fled the scene, and Gentry drove after him, first catching up to and ramming Mosier’s car … Mosier’s vehicle spun around twice and drove away again. … Gentry then ran into Mosier’s car again.
Crazy? Yes. Gratifying as hell? Yes.
But both are having a serious case of the Mondays today because Mosier’s car hit a tree, split in half and caught on fire.
And now Gentry, a senior citizen might I add, is charged with a felony. Mosier has some charges of his own, too.
So the next time that Mini Cooper sandwiches itself between you and the car you’re following, forcing you to hit the breaks, take a deep breath.
While we should always respect our elders, Mr. Gentry’s alleged rage ride on Saturday is behaivor we should not emulate.
And when your boss rolls by today and drops some extra work on you, take a deep breath. You’re probably having a better Monday than Gentry and Mosier.
