New Bus and Subway Handle Design Generates Electricity When In Use

As a straphanger, I like to treat myself to a helping of mp3s on my daily commute. There are some days where I’ve forgotten to charge my iPod the night before. Those days bite.

Designer Junjie Zhang recently thought up a brilliant new way to fuel up your player during those times – the More+ Bus Handle. He’s created bus straps that use piezoelectric technology to generate power, which can then be redistributed to the bus (and its straphangers).
