Mother of 15 leaves 3-year-old at Walmart
Mothers across the world are waking up this morning ready to face reality again.
The Mother’s Day brunch is digested. The flowers are already less vibrant. They know the “Free car wash” coupon from their sons will probably never been redeemed.
It’s back to PB&J, tripping over toys, turning boys into men, girls into women.
But, chances are their case of the Mondays is NOTHING like Moriyyah Israel:
Police charged a Northside [Ohio] woman with endangering children after she left her 3-year-old in a Walmart store Thursday night and didn’t realize the girl was missing until Friday morning, when a relative told her she had seen the child on the news, according to the official complaint filed Friday in Hamilton County court.
How could this have happened? Well, she has 15 kids. I guess it gets hard to keep track.
It’s often been said that the job of a mother is unrivaled.
I know my mom had her hands full with my brother and I, and we weren’t even THAT much trouble.
If you have 15 kids, you might forget one every once in a while? I’m kidding. I’m not saying I agree with the one child rule in China, but stories like this make you wonder…
So what happened to this woman?
Well, she’s lost custody of her 11 children that are minors. So she definitely isn’t redeeming any of her “breakfast in bed” coupons.

You know what, Maybe it was just a simple overlook. I know that sounds bad, but I remember growing up in a family of 7 and being left at a soccer game as a kid. It was horrifying. I felt abandoned and scared. But the older I have gotten, I have realized, Parents with lots of kids have so much rolling through their minds, they sometimes forget the most basic of things.
They think their other spouse is getting “Tommy” because they are worried about paying the bills, what’s for dinner dinner, the love affair at the office, etc….Parent’s minds are just too damn busy sometimes.
