It’s like something you’d find on the Maury show.

“A Tennessee man who has fathered 30 children is asking the courts for a break on child support.”

Knoxville resident Desmond Hatchett is a 33 year old with almost as many child, from 11 (yes, 11) different mothers. The details note that the state already takes half of each paycheck, but that still leaves some mothers taking home only $1.50 a month. Apparently, minimum wage isn’t quite enough to raise 30 children.

Even though the state (read: your tax dollars) is no doubt assisting many of these mothers, Hatchett has not broken any laws, so the state cannot legally force him to stop having children. To make matters worse, he’s asking for some slack on his child support payments. Wonder how well that will go in the courtroom?

This isn’t the Maury show. This is an 18-year case of the Mondays.
