Office Holiday parties are different at every company. Some are large parties, others can be more intimate gatherings at a restaurant of your company’s choice.

If your party is going to incorporate tables for dinner, the seat you choose could be the most important decision made that night. Time after time, I’ve made the wrong choice, which can make the party not nearly as fun.

This picture below says it all. Notice the smiles in comparison to seats? This theory obviously dates back some time.

I’ve been on the ends, and I’ve been in the middle. Middle is a no-brainer.

If you find yourself on the end and unhappy, it’s your own fault. That is, unless you despise your co-workers and are looking for a place to hide. There’s nothing wrong with that.
