We’ve all had one of those days. You know – the kind where you feel like the next person to talk to you might end up with a knuckle sandwich if they don’t chose their words carefully. It’s the kind of day that makes you question your career choice on the home commute.

Stress in the workplace has been thought to lead to everything from obesity to violence. Sounds like something to stay away from – but how do we know which jobs lead to the most stress?

The folks at careercast.com put together this handy infographic detailing the top 10 most stressful careers in America. I can’t say I’d last 10 minutes in any of these positions with a straight face. Apparently most of America can’t either.

It’s interesting to note that many of America’s most stressful jobs have relatively low levels of unemployment. If you’re unemployed and can take the stress, it might be worth looking into.
