Ever wonder how much advertisers are willing to pay to reach you through keyword searches? Keyword prices can show you just that.

Advertisers are paying search engines the amount’s listed above in return for clicking their sponsored link.
How can you use (read: abuse) this knowledge? Well, let’s just say, for example, [insert some giant laptop company] sold you a lemon and their customer service happened to beyond rude to you. Now you’re heated. You could potentially search “laptop” on Google, click on their sponsored link, and bingo – you just cost them roughly $5. Feels good to get a little revenge, no? PS – You’re an A-hole.






Well a lot of these search engines (if not all) have protections against click fraud. Programs have been designed to detect this sort of behavior in people on the internet and actually will not charge the company after the first click.
