GIF: NASA Worker Loses Mind After Mars Curiosity Landing
NASA’s Curiosity rover landed successfully on Mars in hopes of finding traces of life on the red planet.
It was the culmination of years of hard work, billions of dollars and like 150 million miles of space travel. It’s not NASA’s first landing on Mars, but this is a mobile science lab that is rather ground breaking.
What seemed to catch the attention of everyone who tuned into the web stream of the landing was the scientists and crew in the mission control center. It was very new-age “Apollo 13″ — lots of computer terminals filled with tense, really smart individuals waiting for word from another planet.
When the room received confirmation of the landing, the place erupted. And this happened:
