Fantasy Celebrity Apprentice – Season 3

10

NBC’s The Celebrity Apprentice Season 3 is quickly approaching. The season premiere is Sunday, Mar. 14 at 9 p.m. (two-hour premiere) – we expect The Collared Sheep readers to tune in.

Rather than provide a summary of each episode (as we’ve done with the CBS show ‘Undercover Boss’), we’ve decided to incorporate a challenge between the creators of TCS: Mcfly, Reply All and Von Kaiser.

We held a draft on Wednesday night, with each person selecting 4 contestants. Yes, there are 14 celebrities on the show, this will be addressed in a minute.

Points will be awarded as follows:

  • -5 points for the first two people eliminated. After the first two eliminations, the team with the eliminated player will choose one of the undrafted contestants to add to their roster.
  • +1 point for each team member that moves on to the next round
  • +1 point for having the captain of the team that wins an episode challenge
  • -1 point for having the captain of the team that loses an episode challenge
  • -1 point if one of your contestants goes into the board room
  • -1 point if one of your contestants is voted off
  • +10 points if your contestant wins Celebrity Apprentice 2010

OK, enough about the rules. Here’s a breakdown of The Collared Sheep teams:

Reply All (first pick):
I really thought I would be well prepared for the draft but boy was I wrong. After grabbing the intimidating Bill Goldberg in the first round, I quickly lost steam with my next pick, Selita Ebanks. Sure she has some sex appeal but after watching her Charity Video, I quickly gathered that there isn’t much upstairs. I kept with the wrestling theme, choosing a well known singer and WWE Diva, Maria Kanellis (OK – I lied, no one knows who she is). Finally in complete panic mode, I selected the comedian Carol Leifer. Her personality screams business mogul. Enough about the draft – let the season begin!

  1. Bill GoldbergBill Goldberg – The list of successful Wrestlers-turned-CEO is endless: Hulk Hogan … … oh crap.
  2. Selita EbanksSelita Ebanks – Victoria Secret Supermodel, that fact alone will keep her on-board for the last rounds.
  3. Maria KanellisMaria Kanellis – I swear the mouse slipped on this one. Albeit, she is #2 on the “Ability to Kick Your Ass” list.
  4. Carol LeiferCarol Leifer – I figure she’ll be voted off first which will give me a complete episode to analyze the undrafted Summer Sanders and Holley Peete.

Von Kaiser (second pick):
I can’t speak to the awful strategies my competitors employed, but I think we all know who is the favorite here. My squad is stacked. I think I have a healthy mix of boisterous personality producers will love and guys who can fly under the radar and skate into the later rounds. Oh, and I made sure I only drafted people I had heard of…Couldn’t really relate to Maria Kanellis considering I stopped watching wrestling in 1997.

  1. Rod BlagojevichRod Blagojevich – Donald Trump if he got into politics? This is a can’t-miss.
  2. Sharon OsbourneSharon Osbourne — 100% chance she goes off the rail on a crazy train this season.
  3. Michael JohnsonMichael Johnson — If you fire Michael Johnson, you’re firing an American hero. Remember that, Donald.
  4. Curtis StoneCurtis Stone — This guy is an NBC up-and-comer (fixture on “The Biggest Loser”). I hope he has a “no firing clause” written into his NBC deal.

McFly (third pick):
With Von Kaiser stealing my first round pick (R. Blagojevich), my strategy shifted to “lock in Sinbad, and let the rest of the cards fall as they may”. If my calculations are correct, Sinbad’s blend of charisma and cunning should be just the recipe needed to pull the weight of the entire team. Locking him in earned me a bit of wiggle room on my other choices, so I took a gamble on Strawberry and Lauper. In retrospect, Michaels was a mistake. Everyone knows he used up any of his remaining B-list celebrity juice on “Rock of Love”.

  1. SinbadSinbad – Four words: “Jingle All the Way”.
  2. Darryl StrawberryDarryl Strawberry – My good friend’s mom dated him back in the day. She’s a pretty good judge of character.
  3. Cyndi LauperCyndi Lauper – I love the 80s.
  4. Bret MichaelsBret Michaels – Well, someone had to pick him.

Undrafted: Summer Sanders & Holly Robinson Peete
