Team Analysis:

Check the ship’s hull because my team just steered into an iceberg. The episode started off with Summer Sanders selection as Project Manager. I thought to myself, here is my chance to regain some ground that my team quickly lost over the past 3 or 4 challenges. The camera then shot a quick monologue from Summer where she stated:
I don’t know why I volunteered to be project manager. I have no experience with recording studios and stuff like that.
Perfect, my hopes and dreams quickly diminished from that moment forward. As you can guess, her lack of experience and “stuff like that” was obvious in the episode. Cyndi Lauper to sing the majority of the radio commercial jingles? Nope—not in Summer’s house. She decided to go with the conservative approach; not the best move against the creative genius, Bret Michaels.
Now I’m left with the WWE Diva Maria Kanellis. The only thing she brought to the table on Sunday was her annoying jingles.
Whelp, there goes my season.

Boy, did I dodge a bullet this week. Curtis, ever the gentlemen, took a little while before really putting his foot down in the boardroom. I thought Trump was going to can his ass because he wasn’t stepping up tot he plate and pitching his case to stay. It was a tough challenge for him to shine in, so I’m glad he was able to fly under the radar and knock out a strong opponent in Summer at the same time.
Next week is going to be critical for my team. In the previews, Curtis joins forces with Maria and Sharon, who both expressed their dislike of Curtis — which is rather unfair. And it looks like it’s not going to get any easier. I am pretty sure Maria is an emotional roller coaster. I imagine dating her means you’re always a drunken night away from a restraining order when she takes a 37″ heel to your face for being “too friendly to the waitress.”
All I can hope for is that Sharon/Curtis use all of that negative energy for a team win, Curtis stayed out of harm’s way and we all go on living happily ever after.
My team is quickly moving from underdog to top dog. They each managed to keep their composure and not get fired, to my own surprise.
Bret took a HUGE gamble with his plumber jokes, and they somehow paid off. Just how lucky was he? Well, let’s just say Bret’s team was making fart jokes for the first quarter of of their project. Sharon at one point jokes about using the phrase “Can I suck your plunger?” in their radio piece. Yes folks, these are the winners.
Cyndi was surprisingly well-suited for the task she was assigned – singing a jingle. I’ve wrongly predicted her firing in almost every episode, but this one was different. She played an important role and did so successfully for the most part, even if she did lose her voice. There was no way her team could say she didn’t offer much. She even managed to somewhat befriend Curtis, bringing her friend count to a lackluster “one”. Cyndi just has too many enemies for me to believe she’ll last much longer.
Holly played it smart but getting in tight with Summer, basically preventing her from sitting in the boardroom decision on the chopping block, even if her team didn’t win. She remains my best shot at the finals.
