Team Analysis:

In Episode 5, it appeared at first that my team would make it through the challenge without any trouble. Goldberg, Selita, and Maria, although out of the spotlight, were consistently getting their jobs done. Embarrassingly enough for all contestants (including Olympic athletes), Maria was the only person able to make a free-throw at the start of the show.

It wasn’t until the end of the episode that Maria made a mistake while editing the commercial that flustered the women’s team. Of course Holly Robinson Peete, who is becoming crazier by the second, takes note just in case she lands on the cutting-block. When it finally does come down to the wire, Maria’s take-no-crap attitude moves her to the next round, unfortunately causing the elimination of my other teammate Selita Ebanks.

Selita was eliminated on the basis that Trump believed the remaining boardroom members Maria and Holly were “strong and intelligent”. By process of elimination, Trump fired her which was no surprise. Although good-looking, she didn’t provide much to the group in terms of innovation or creativity. Let’s just say her “talent” wasn’t exactly oriented towards business attire.

And what’s with Goldberg and his sunglasses? I love the guy but seriously, this is Celebrity Apprentice; not to be confused with VH1’s Tool Academy. It’s only a matter of time before he’s elected Project Manager and is put to the test, but please Goldberg, remove the sunglasses.

One point behind Von Kaiser is a victory in itself given the above.

What had such promise is a ship sinking quickly.

Michael Johnson quit. Sharon Osbourne wasn’t even around. And last week I said it could only get better. If I only knew…

My concern: Was the production of this season during the swine flu outbreak in New York? Could Sharon have been stricken with the pig sniffles? I guess we’ll find out soon enough. Either way, she’s MIA. I do have a feeling Donald is really going to like her, so there might be a chance.

The rock remains to be Curtis Stone. Somehow Team Rocksolid won. Still can’t figure it out, but whatever. I thought the commercial was weak, but Curtis did what he could with that “team.” He’s solid as his last name.

I was really upset to see Michael go. I was actually driving on the Jersey Turnpike when Reply All BBMed me to gloat (had it on DVR).

And gloat he should. I was the one crowing, and now I’m furiously digging out of a hole — and that generally doesn’t work.

We need you back, Sharon!

Things are looking up for my team. Not because they had a superb performance, but because the other teams dropped the ball a bit.

Have I mentioned that Cyndi is senile yet? Because she is.  How she’s made it this far is anyone’s guess. She needs to learn not to be so quick to jump into arguments unnecessarily in the middle of Trump’s board room meetings.

Michaels has heart, but look who he’s left with on the men’s team – Goldberg and Stone. Both opponents thrive in high pressure situations, whereas Michaels thrives in…rock? He needs to really play the I-have-a-sick-child card to win over the judges for the next few rounds. Empathy is his Trump card, pun intended.

Holly was a bit louder and prouder than usual. Perhaps she let the Project Manager role get to her head.  Regardless, it ended up saving her this round, as Trump saw the fire in her, but the next one may not be so pretty. Turn the heat down a notch next round, Holly, or Maria will go for the jugular.

Here’s the history:
