Drunk Russian Professor Forces Students To Take 23 Hour Exam
I had some terribly hard exams in my day – some 2 hours, some 3 hours, some maybe even 4 hours.
In retrospect, that doesn’t seem quite as bad, considering the relatively common Russian college practice of holding very long testing periods. In fact, a physics class in Russia recently went through one such event – only this time, with a twist (of lime?):
A drunk lecturer at a Russian university forced her students to sit a 23-hour-long exam – not even allowing them toilet breaks.
Sources say Lecturer Landysh Zaripova “stank of alcohol”, leaving the room frequently to quench her thirst. The professor denied the allegations, stating that she is not dumb enough to have done such a thing.
The University’s Physics Department, Albert Aganov, says had he seen it personally, he would have fired her in a heart beat. Unfortunately, the professor is on a 5 year contract that cannot be broken so even if it turns out she was drinking on the job, she’s sitting pretty.
