Money doesn’t come cheap these days. If there are material items that you simply cannot live without, you’ve got to work hard for the money (thanks, Donna Summer). Well, technically there is always a second option: theft and robbery.

23 year old Mandy Lorenz took the second option, according to a story in the DailyMail.

A German woman is facing 15 years behind bars after robbing the bank where she worked to pay for breast-enlargement surgery.

According to the story, she had staged a robbery at her branch, in which she planned for three men to rob her at gun point (technically it was actually just an air pistol and knife). These same men would later give her a portion of the loot.

She even sent them a text message to let them know when she and only one other trainee were present. Come on, Mandy! Haven’t you ever seen [insert generic cop/crime drama tv show here]?

Later that same day, after detailing the event for the cops after the branch  robbery, she was already on the horn with the cosmetic surgeon to finalize her order. It didn’t take long for detectives to put two and two together, who then placed her under surveillance.

Eventually her cover was blown and she was arrested. Court records provide the following as the reason behind the robbery:

She said she was fed up being as flat as a pancake and wanted to go from an A to a B or C-cup bust size.

Some Mondays are obviously better than others, and unfortunately for Mandy, this is a bad one. While she might not get the bust size of her choice over the next 15 years, she might make a few contacts that may be able to help come year 16.
