AC/DC Fan Has Rough Weekend
The best thing I have for Monday morning’s “weekend recap” at work is my review of “Cop Out” (funny).
Had I been in Brisbane, Australia this weekend at the AC/DC concert, I would have been able to give a first-hand account of a quadriplegic’s fall into the mosh pit during the show.
The man’s friend moved his left hand when it struck the joystick and the wheelchair shot forward and fell end over end.
Ouch. Can we say that guy was on a Highway to Hell? (zing) This is like a bad sitcom episode gone wrong. Horribly wrong. The victim had a medal pin stuck in his eye after the spill.
I can assure you there’s a handful of associated who aren’t having a good morning at work. I’m sure the facilities manager of the venue is catching some reactionary heat from his boss because there’s been criticism for not putting up a proper barrier.
What about the guy who hit the joystick? Probably a worse feeling than getting yelled at by your wife for half-assing the snow shoveling.
The point of all this? Be careful at rock concerts. And, as always, if you’re having a tough start to the week — you could be any of the people listed above…
Have a good Monday.
