$25,000 Cash Stolen From Safe/Underneath Driver’s Seat
There’s very little in the world like a pay day. The pockets always feel a little heavier when we head out for a night on the town after getting a nice cash deposit, right?
I’m sure this couple in California was thinking the same thing last week (at least when the night began):
Someone stole $25,000 in cash from a car left at a Park and Ride site in Santa Margarita (Calif.) … A woman hid a bag that included cash from her business and the sale of a car under the seat of her vehicle while she and her husband went to a movie, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
Ouch. That’s a sick pay day down the drain. And to think they probably ordered the largest size popcorn and soda knowing they could afford it…
But come on. This unnamed woman is going to be sitting office this morning just wondering ”How did it go wrong?” — I hope it doesn’t take her too long to figure it out. Her employees are going to be in the break room either feeling
A. Vindicated because their boss is always this careless, or
B. Pissed because that cash was going to fund their next paychecks, or
C. Celebrating because they stole the cash, knowing how careless their boss is.
Either way, everyone’s having a severe case of the Mondays in that office. Unless C. from the list above applies. In that case, almost everyone in that office is having a great day.
